This Electric show stopper painting featuring the best joker ever ‘Heath Ledger’ has been created with layers of spray paint, acrylic paint and ink.On a base of book pages from the book ‘ ‘Memoirs of a Geisha’ by Arthur Golden, that have been laid like bricks.Many layers Acrylic Washes have been added to give them a realistic brick look.
I wanted to use the slogan “R U OK?” As a nod to mental health and what Heath Ledger went through before passing.
Medium: Acrylic and spray paint on book pages attached to cotton stretched canvas, it has been finished with satin varnish, signed on the front ‘Debstar’ my street name :) and is ready to hang.
